family fun
I’ve been enjoying my last few days home with the girls. I go back to work next week. It’s been so long that I’m not having any strong emotions about it. I hope Clara does well at the babysitters’. She’s been refusing the bottle lately, especially with formula. I picked up the one my sister in law suggested, the First Years Breastflow. At first she wouldn’t take it either. Then I did a little trick I used to do with Hannah. I added a bit of Karo syrup to the bottle. She took to it right away. Guess I had to sweeten the deal for her. She’s taking it well now, which is good, because Clint was getting so frustrated with her. She wouldn’t eat for him even if I was gone. Just cry and cry until I got home.
Hannah’s favorite activity…wash dishes like mama. She gets her entire shirt front wet, but who cares. She’s happy right by me, and not getting into trouble.
She also loves going in the baby gym with Clara, or by herself. She’s taking quite a liking to her sister.
One day this week, I left Hannah playing the kitchen to lay Clara down. Hannah had the big bowl filled with soap bubbles and a bit of water. She was washing dishes "like Hannah" as she says when she does it at her little table. I came back to find this pink teddy bear soaked. She gave him a bath! Click the photo to see a close up of the bear. Sopping wet.
We were sitting around before Hannah’s bedtime the other night. Took some photos of our little family. Click the pictures to go to the full gallery of all the pictures.
I’ll leave you with my favorite expression of Hannah’s…

You have beautiful kids. The second and third pics are great. Love the clarity. My camera is ok, but doesn’t give me even lighting when I use the flash.
I just had to comment because you sound so involved with your kids. It’s great. Most people are selfish and seem annoyed with there kids when they demand attention or with just everyday parenting. To be a great parent you have to be selfless. I love being a mother. The kids always come first in my eyes.
Anyways, hope Clara does much better.
